About NGD

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide an enrichment of dance for our students. We provide a stimulating and fun environment where students cultivate their technical, esthetic, and creative potential. Through the art of dance our students learn the values of respect, responsibility, and leadership as well as develop artistic and self expression.

Next Generation Dance was formerly known as Carol Young School of Dance. Carol Young served the dance community for over 60 years and opened CYSD in 1981. Carol passed the studio down to her family in 2006 when it officially became Next Generation Dance.

NGD specializes in tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, and acro. We offer classes for competitive and non-competitive dancers from ages 3-18 and provide performing opportunities to all students. One of our biggest accomplishments is having professionally trained teachers, and teachers who are formerly NGD/CYSD students who love passing along their passion and training to the next generation. We are proud to have many students who have gone on to perform professionally, choreograph, and teach.   You can find several of our students performing locally at Kings Island throughout the year.  Over the years many other students have gone on to train in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and at top conservatory and university programs throughout the country. NGD is a regional and national award winning studio.

We are excited to have the next generation a part of making our studio a continuously evolving and growing place. One of NGD’s biggest goals is to create an environment where our dancers feel at home and know that they have a community that is always there to support them .We want to continue not only building professional dancers but also helping our students be strong, well rounded individuals who are able to take the skills they learn at the studio into whatever areas they pursue in the future.

If you would like to be part of our award winning studio, please contact us.  We would love to have you be a part of the NGD family!
