At Next Generation Dance, our mission is to inspire and enrich our students through the art of dance. We create a fun, supportive, and challenging environment where dancers build technical skill, artistic expression, and confidence. Beyond movement, we instill values like respect, responsibility, and leadership—skills that last a lifetime.

Our Story

Formerly the Carol Young School of Dance (CYSD), our studio has been a cornerstone of the dance community since 1981. Founded by Carol Young, who served dancers for over 60 years, the studio became Next Generation Dance in 2006 when Carol passed it to her family. Today, we honor that legacy while continuing to evolve for the dancers of tomorrow.

 

What We Offer
We specialize in tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, and acro for dancers ages 3–18. Whether your child is exploring dance for fun or pursuing a competitive track, we offer:

• Recreational & competitive programs

• Performing opportunities for every student

• Expert instruction from professionally trained teachers, many of whom grew up in our program

 

Our Achievements
Our dancers have performed professionally, choreographed, taught, and entertained audiences at venues such as Kings Island, and have trained in top programs in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and at prestigious universities nationwide. We are proud to be a regional and national award-winning studio.
